Desertfest Belgium adds Amenra, Naxatras, Timestone and more to 2018 line-up

It’s that time of the month again, ladies and gentleman! Desertfest Belgium has just given us a new batch of bands that will be a part of its 2018 edition. And the best part? There is a headliner among them. I’m talking, of course, about Belgium’s own superheavy sludge collective Amenra, who just last year released an enormous new record, Mass VI. And since this marks the band’s first time steeping onto Desertfest Belgium’s stage, we couldn’t be more excited as to what kind of ritualistic pandemonium the fine gents of Amenra will unleash. Also confirmed are Greek psychedelic prog improvisers Naxatras, that gave us a beautiful third record this year, the aptly named III, as well as Austria’s desert stoner group Timestone, Atlanta’s monolithic noise trio Whores. and London’s insane riff assemblers Swedish Death Candy. These five bands join previously announced Yob, Crowbar, John Garcia & The Band of Gold, Elder, Acid King, The Skull, Wo Fat, Castle and others, with more names to be announced soon. Desertfest Belgium takes place in Trix, in Antwerp, on October 12th-14th. Three-day tickets are available at a reduced price of 95 euros and can be purchased online, here.
