Wrekmeister Harmonies announce February 2019 European tour dates

Born in Chicago, Illinois and named after Bela Tarr’s film, Wrekmeister Harmonies is the brainchild of composer and multi-instrumentalist J.R. Robinson, a name and face some may recognize from Noisey’s black metal documentary One Man Metal. J.R. Robinson is, however, more than just the interviewer in a cult documentary, he is also a renowed artist that found in Wrekmeister Harmonies the perfect way to collaborate with various other artists, from all spectrums of the music scene. Names such as Marissa Nadler, Einsturzende Neubauten, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and The Body have all, at one point, collaborated with this ambitious project, that continues to evolve steadily over time and combines elements of metal, drone, neofolk and improvisation.

Wrekmeister Harmonies will once again travel the long roads of Europe in February of next year, to present their brand-new record, The Alone Rush, released on April 13th via Thrill Jockey Records. This new record, which once again counts with the colalboration of Esther Shaw, has been considered by critics as a step out of the comfort zone and described as “an intense meditation on death and isolation”. While you absorb the meaning of those words, we urge you to listen to The Alone Rush and visit the project in one of the dates below, some of which will have the presence of Belgium’s eerie doom band FVNERALS.
