Roadburn 2022: Lingua Ignota, Emma Ruth Rundle and Mizmor among the newest lineup additions

The day keeps on rocking and rolling with festival announcements and this time, its Roadburn’s turn. After an impressive first announcement that included the likes of Ulver, GOLD, Liturgy, Full of Hell, Russian Circles and Primitive Man, among others, the festival returns with a second and equally monumental batch of brand-new confirmations for its 2022 edition. At the very top of the announcement, stands the mighty and inimitable Lingua Ignota, returning to Roadburn after two explosive performances in 2019 to present her latest record, Sinner Get Ready, and Emma Ruth Rundle, another Roadburn return who has just recently released a new solo record, Engine of Hell, which she will be performing on the main stage. Mizmor is also set to return in order to perform his latest record, Cairn, in full as was originally intended back in 2020.

Following on from the recent announcement of a new record, Perfect Light, 40 Watt Sun will also perform on the main stage, and after performing alongside Dylan Carlson and as part of Zonal in previous years, The Bug will also be returning to Roadburn, this time with MCs Flowdan and Logan to accompany him. A rejuvenated Sum Of R will perform their upcoming new record, Lahbryce, in full, and so will Messa’s recently announced record, Close, as well as A Loner, the new record by Hangman’s Chair. Cloud Rat will perform two sets, including a special Do Not Let Me Off The Cliff electronic-based performance, while Sordide perform their most recent record, Les idées blanches, the latter as part of Milena Eva & Thomas Sciarone’s curated event. Other confirmations include Uniform – performing Shame in full -, Health, Kælan Mikla, Kanga, Smote – performing Drommon in full -, Fågelle, Kanaan, Kollaps, Kungens Män, Pinkish Black and Wyatt E. More names will be announced soon, so keep your eyes peeled for further announcements.
