Amplifest 2022: Vile Creature, Spectral Wound and Midwife among the newest additions to the lineup

Just before the end of the year, Amplifest decided we all deserved a little present to forget about all the crazy shit that’s been going on for the past two years. And so, in the wonderful Christmas spirit, the festival has just announced six more names that will bolster both weekend of its upcoming 2022 edition – all of them playing Portugal for the very first time. For the first weekend, we welcome the arrival of multi-instrumentalist and producer Midwife, who will be presenting her brand-new record, Luminol, and the multi-faceted doom/sludge duo Vile Creature, as well as the incredible Patrick Walker of 40 Watt Sun. For the second weekend, we got plenty of heaviness with the black metal darkness of Spectral Wound, the blackened speed metal of Hellripper and the post-rock and modern classical sonorities of Bruit ≤. There are still plenty of names left to be revealed for both weekends, so keep your eyes peeled for further announcements – spolier alert: next one is in January.

Amplifest 2022 takes place in two weekends – October 7th-9th and October 13th-15th -, at the Hard Club, in Porto. Three-day tickets purchased for the 2021 edition are only valid for the first weekend. Three-day tickets for the second weekend are still available at a regular price of 115 euros.
