Wiegedood return to Portugal in May

Affiliated with the Church of Ra collective, under which they share not only members, but also artistic philosophies and aesthetic visions with bands such as Amenra and Oathbreaker, the Belgian Wiegedood stand out from among them for the heavy artillery they chose to express themselves with: a vicious and atmospheric brand of black metal that starts out from the purest foundations of the genre but expands and polishes them of unnecessary anachronisms. After the acclaimed trilogy of De Doden Hebben Het Goed, the trio of vocalist/guitarist Levy Seynaeve, guitarist Gilles Demolder and drumer Wim Sreppoc are back with There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road, a record that shows Wiegedood adding new dark tones to their palette, such as the use of synthesizers and samples, and which, lyrically speaking, explores the most vile corners of human condition and society. With such an incredible and fresh studio outing under their belt, Wiegedood will make their return to Portugal on May 27th and 28th to perform at the Musicbox, in Lisbon, and the Hard Club, in Porto, respectively. Tickets are available for 15 euros and can be purchased online via See Tickets.
