Up in Smoke adds Kadavar, Elder, Whores. and more to 2018 line-up
Up in Smoke has made a new announcement for its 2018 edition, increasing its already impressive line-up. Unfortunately, not all of it is good news. John Garcia has postponed his entire October/November tour to 2019, due to some unexpected delays in the recording of his new record, meaning that the legendary Kyuss founder won’t be performing at the festival. Do not worry, though, his substitutes are none other than Berlin’s own psychedelic power trio Kadavar, who will headline Friday in Garcia’s stead. As for the rest of the announcement, we got the progressive soundscapes of Elder, the monolithic noise of Whores., the experimental psych rock of Villagers of Ioannina City and the instrumental stoner escapades of Six Months of Sun. These five new names join previously announced Electric Wizard, Acid King, Naxatras, Dopethrone, Sasquatch and more.
Up in Smoke takes place in Z7, in Pratteln, on October 5th-6th. Two-day tickets are available for 86,95 euros and can be purchased online via Sound of Liberation.
