Godflesh, Benediction and Midnight among the first names confirmed for SWR Barroselas Metalfest 22

Another year, another edition of SWR Barroselas Metalfest, one of the oldest and most recognized metal festivals in Europe. Now moving to its 22nd edition, the festival has treated us with the announcement of its first fifteen names and they are as fantastic as one would expect. 

Leading the charge is one of the most recognizable duos to date, Godflesh, who last year released Post Self, their eighth opus and one that continues to demonstrate the reason why the duo is still a tour de force in the industrial and post-metal scene. Accompanying the English duo at the forefront are their death metal compatriots Benediction and the North American speed devils Midnight. Last but by no means least, the North American melodic death metallers The Black Dahlia Murder, the Icelandic death occultists Venenum and the Brazilian thrashers Nervosa are also confirmed, as well as Birdflesh, Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition, Eagle Twin, Namek, Imperial Triumphant, Analepsy, Barshasketh, Martelo Negro and Vacivus, with 35 more names to be confirmed soon.

SWR Barroselas Metalfest takes place at the A.D.B. Sport Facilities, in Barroselas, on April 26th-28th. A special X-Mas pack is available for 70 euros and can be purchased online via the festival’s webshop, here. This special X-Mas pack is limited to 350 units and contains a three-day pass, special tshirt, cup, three tokens for drinks during the festival and a bag. After they are sold out, regular three-day tickets will be put on sale.
