Samael, Hypocrisy and Fleshgod Apocalypse to headline Laurus Nobilis Music 2019

Ever since 2015, there has been a festival up on the Northern side of Portugal that has been gradually evolving and growing. We speak, of course, of Laurus Nobilis Music. Initially, a festival that brought in all kinds of sonorities to Vila Nova de Famalicão, Laurus soon found that the passion for metal spoke louder than everything else and decided to dedicate its efforts into promoting the genre we all love and enjoy. After four successful editions, which saw bands such as Amorphis, Dark Tranquillity, Septicflesh, Mão Morta and Crisix deliver intense performances, the festival now steps it up a notch by cranking all systems to eleven and confirming some amazing bands for its fifth edition.

Starting with the bands that are arguably the most important of the lineup – the headliners, of course -, Laurus will welcome the Swedish melodic death metal legends Hypocrisy, the Swiss industrial black metal group Samael and the Italian symphonic death metal maestros Fleshgod Apocalypse. But don’t think those are the only sweet-sounding names. As far as we are concerned, those are only the desserts. The main course is served by the Swedish melodic groove metallers Soilwork and their fellow death metal counrtymen Entombed A.D., the German gothic legends Crematory and the equally famed German thrashers Contradiction, as well as the Portuguese doomsters Sinistro and the well-known Portuguese punk rockers Peste & Sida. As for the rest of the lineup, well, we don’t think calling the remaining bands “appetizers” is at all fair, as each of them kicks as much ass as the next one and they are by no means less important than the rest of the bill. They are AnalepsySoldierGwydionMiss LavaWrath SinsWAKO and Simbiose, just to name a few. You can check the entire lineup, as well as other infos regarding Laurus Nobilis Music, at the festival’s website, here.

Laurus Nobilis Music 2019 takes place at Vila Nova de Famalicão, on July 25th-28th. Three-day passes are currently available for 40 euros for a limited time and can be purchased online via Bilheteira Online and MásQueTicket.
