This month: Urze de Lume, Cabra Çega and the arrival of Autumn in Bagunte

In the context of its upcoming 25th Anniversary, the APPA-VC (Associação de Proteção ao Património, Arqueologia e Museus de Vila do Conde) invites all parties interested to participate in a moment of conviviality to celebrate the coming of Autumn. This iniciative will take place in the Cividade of Bagunte, a place chosen not only for its symbolic relation with APPA-VC’s roots, but also for representing it as one of its main stages. The gathering will happen this coming September 28th and will start at 16h at the Church of Bagunte, where a short walk through the trails leading to the Cividade will take place. Once there, a guided tour around the old town will be provided and it will be possible to enjoy a meal inspired by the castro culture – a material culture of the northern-western regions of the Iberian Peninsula from the end of the Bronze age.

Later at sunset, the welcome to Autumn will be made in the company of two beautiful musical acts – the pagan dark folk of Urze de Lume (on the photo above) and the groove folk of Cabra Çega. Transportation back to the Church of Bagunte will be provided after the show.

Registration for the event is free, but mandatory and limited. All parties interested in taking part of the event can fill APPA-VC’s online form, available here.
