Comendatio Music Fest 2020: Anneke van Giersbergen and Antimatter among the newest lineup additions

Comendatio Music Fest has got some pretty nifty new names for this year’s edition and among them is Dutch singer-songwriter Anneke van Giersbergen (on the photo above). Well-known for being the original vocalist of The Gathering and for her many collaborations with artists such as Devin Townsend, Anathema and Ayreon, Anneke will be performing a very special solo acoustic show on the welcome party of the festival, which will take place on June 5th, a day before the event begins. Also confirmed to perform on this date is Antimatter, or rather, its founder and leader Mick Moss, who will also be performing a solo acoustic show. The Portuguese My Fellow Jo completes the trio of artists performing on the welcome party.

But that’s not all, as a bunch of other names have also been confirmed to perform at the festival. These include the Greek four-piece prog rock/metal group Poem, the French ethnic progsters Mobius, the Portuguese experimental rockers Rei Bruxo and their fellow countrymen of Subversive, the best-kept secret of Portuguese progressive music.

Comendatio Music Fest 2020 takes place in Paço da Comenda, in Tomar, on June 6th-7th. Two-day tickets are available for 50 euros and can be purchased online via the festival’s website.
