Amplifest 2021: Oranssi Pazuzu, Wolves In The Throne Room and more confirmed

Six is part of the number of the beast and it’s also the number of new additions to the lineup of this year’s Amplifest. To the already confirmed Cult of Luna, Caspian and Holy Fawn now joins a sextet of amazing bands from a wide variety of genres, all of them integral to the audiophile life of the music lover. Starting off with a bang, we have the North American atmospheric black metallers Wolves In The Throne Room, who will be returning to Portugal after nine long years to promote their upcoming and as-of-yet unnamed record, which is set for release this year via Relapse Records and Century Media Records. Also confirmed are the Finnish psychedelic black metal wizards Oranssi Pazuzu, who are returning to Portugal to present their latest record, “Mestarin Kynsi”, as well as the Belgian sludge/doom collective Amenra, a band that not only is well-known by the Amplifest audience, but will also be bringing with them a brand-new record, the follow-up to 2017s Mass VI. Last but by no means least, we have the Japanese post-hardcore outfit Envy, the highly-anticipated return to Portuguese shores by the one and only Jo Quail, and the cinematic sludge of Telepathy. More names will be confirmed in the coming months, so keep your eyes peeled for further announcements.

Amplifest 2021 takes places on Hard Club, in Porto, on October 8th-10th. Three-day tickets are available for 123 euros and can be purchased online via See Tickets.
