Ghost announced as the final headliners of Hellfest 2022
As it was promised many moons ago, the time has come to finally unveil who is the final headliner of Hellfest’s mightiest edition yet. And as many suspected, it is none other than the enigmatic Swedish heavy rockers Ghost. The group led by the charismatic Papa Emeritus IV will be replacing Faith No More as the headliners of the Mainstage 01 during the first weekend of the festival – especifically, on June 18th -, and will be presenting their brand-new record, Impera. But not all good things come without their share of bad news, as the festival has confirmed the unfortunate cancellation of a few acts – The Distillers, Skinny Puppy, L7, Youth of Today, Reverend Horton Heat, Hawser, OM, IV and the Strange Band, Monster Magnet and Hjelvik have all had to cancel their appearances, for one reason or another. Do not fear, however, as Hellfest has already found more than suitable replacements for each and every single one of the aforementioned acts, and they are Burning Heads, Nitzer Ebb, Last Temptation, No Turning Back, Washington Dead Cats, Guilt Trip, Messa, Slomosa, Orange Goblin and Witchery. With this announcement also comes the long-awaited reveal of the coveted running order – you can find all the details here.
Hellfest 2022 will take place in Clisson, France, during two weekends – June 17th-19th and June 23rd-26th. Tickets for the festival are officially sold out. For more information on the festival and the overall lineup, please visit the festival’s website here.
