Premiere: Cult Burial showcase a world of suffering with head-splitting new single “Strive”

How about we start the day with some heavier than thou kind of news? We got some fresh ones straight out of the Cult Burial camp. For those not familiar with them, Cult Burial is a group founded in 2020 in London that has been breathing new life into the black, death and doom metal genres by fusing them in brilliant and exciting new ways. The result is an absolutely devastating, boundary-breaking sound that leaves no ear unbled and no bone uncrushed in its wake, as can be heard in the two EPs and debut LP, as well as the single they released last March, “Disorder”.

Today, the trio of vocalist César Moreira, guitarist and drummer Simon Langford and bassist Lukas Kaminski release yet another head-splitting new single, “Strive”, which features additional guitars by Felipe Gruber and was mixed and mastered by Langford himself. You can listen to this monster of a track below this article. About “Strive”, the group comments, “We are excited to release this track to the world.  The aim was to create a nasty, deep, expressive piece of music that would leave the listener suffering under the weight of the death and doom parts”. Apart from this brand-new single, the group also reveals that work on their sophomore record is close to being finished and a release is expected in late 2022, so we couldn’t be more excited. For now, however, enjoy the ultimate darkness that is “Strive”.
