Deafheaven, Chat Pile and Rolo Tomassi among the first names confirmed for the debut edition of Core.

Great news for our Scottish friends! This year will see the debut of Core., a brand-new festival dedicated to all things heavy that will take Glasgow by storm this coming August. Standing as “a celebration of noise”, the festival has just confirmed the first acts that will be a part of its debut edition and we couldn’t be more excited. At the forefront of it all, we have San Francisco’s seminal post-black metal outfit Deafheaven and the Oklahoma City noise rock quartet Chat Pile, both descending upon Glasgow to present their latest records, Infinite Granite and God’s Country, respectively. Also confirmed are the British progressive mathcore group Rolo Tomassi, the Scottish sonic terror makers Frontierer, the French post-metal sextet Year of No Light and the Michigan-based grindcore purveyors Cloud Rat, as well as Cumgirl8Deijuvhs, Party CannonUniversityPothamusHammokOna SnopJack BrotherhoodHeadcleanerMoni JitchellFlinch.Piss BathVoid of LIght and Devotion.
