Amplifest announces complete lineup for 2024

Patience is, in fact, a virtue. We have waited a long time for the names that will paint the poster of this year’s edition of Amplifest, especially after a stop in the sale of two-day passes at the beginning of the year. But everything eventually comes to an end, and today, the festival for music lovers by music lovers announces the twenty names that will bring wide grins to the faces of both those who have followed the festival since its humble beginnings in 2011, as well as those who will be visiting it for the first time this year.

Diversity and expansiveness are the qualities that Amplifest promises and delivers year after year, and this one will not be the exception to the rule. From the long-awaited return to the festival by the modern day goth queen Chelsea Wolfe and the instrumental post-rock masters Russian Circles, to the definitive debuts of experimental noise duo Insect Ark and the intense black metal outfit Mizmor (on the photo above), this year’s Amplifest will have a little something for everyone. The highlights continue with the debut of the enigmatic doomgaze duo Fvnerals and the merciless death metal of supergroup Living Gate (composed of members from Amenra, Wiegedood and Yob), as well as the return to Portugal by the avant-garde duo Menace Ruine, and the absolute debut of the brand-new darkwave project Decline and Fall. Last, but by no means least, the lineup is completed by the empowering, Viking dancefloor music of Eihwar, the maddening psychedelic black metal of Oranssi Pazuzu, the overpowering drone of collaborative project The Body & Dis Fig, and the majestically heavy, psychedelic sludge metal of Ufomammut, without forgetting the presences of Avesso, Cinder Well, LLNN, Mary Jane Dunphe, Spurv, UF, Yoo Doo Right and Zombi. See you there, as always.

Amplifest 2024 takes place at the Hard Club, in Porto, on November 9th-10th. The second wave of two-day passes is now available, ranging from 119 to 149, in a “pay what you can” format. All options are available to be purchased online via See Tickets, with daily ticket options to come soon. More information can be found at the festival’s website, here.
