This week: Itenerance starts the year off with its debut edition
2023 is about to kick off in the right way with the debut edition of Itenerance. As a new and itinerant festival with the purpose of promoting the work of independent Portuguese artists, Itenerance aims to decentralize artists from their regions, offering them a platform to perform all over the country. Not only that, the festival also seeks to promote safe spaces for women, racialized minorities and the LGBT+ communtiy, in order to attract new audiences and artists to cities and venues that were previously inaccessible to them. Therefore, the festival is set to take place for the first time in two different clubs – Ferro Bar and Barracuda – in the wonderful city of Porto, with a luxurious lineup consisting of some of the best acts in today’s Portuguese music scene – Desert Smoke, Spitgod, Orangotango, Desert Mammooth, It Was The Elf, Puto, Malaboos, Kaleikia, Leo The Painter and Glass Eyed Momma -, with DJ sets in the after hours from A Boy Named Sue, Barrosa, Johnny Gil, Nance Falecida and Pearte. Get ready to start off the year in the best way possible!
Itenerance takes place at Ferro Bar and Barracuda, in Porto, on January 6th-7th. Daily and two-day tickets are available for 12 and 20 euros, respectively. For those that arrive after 1:30am, there a special daily clubbing ticket available for 5 euros. All tickets options can be purchased via the festival’s Instagram page.
