After nearly five years since the release of their debut record, Atrocities From Beyond, the Portuguese masters of slamming brutality known as Analepsy have finally announced their sophomore record. Entitled Quiescence, this new record will maintain the space theme that marked the band’s previous releases, but will offer it from an entirely new perspective – no more will there be sentient beings, simply a desolate cosmos that awaits its slow and inevitable demise. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Miguel Tereso at Demigod Recordings, Quiescence once again features artwork by Pedro Sena (Lordigan), as well as three very special guest vocalists – Ricky Myers (Suffocation, Disgorge), Angel Ochoa (Disgorge, Cephalotripsy, Abominable Putridity) and Wilson Ng (Facelift Deformation, Vermicular Incubation). Eblow this article you can watch the video of the first single, “Locus of Dawning”, which was directed by Joël Martins.
Quiescence will be released on April 15th via Miasma Records. Physical and digital pre-orders of the CD are now available here. A vinyl release of the record will also be coming out on May 27th via Agonia Records – you can pre-order it here.
