We got a new band update for Brutal Assault’s 25th Anniversary and this time, it’s a pretty massive one, filled with great names and a few surprises. Starting off with the hellbangers in the title, the insane Norwegian cosmic pirates Arcturus (on the photo above) are returning to the festival once more to bring you the best avant-garde metal as to offer. Also returning to the festival are the British symphonic goth masters Cradle of Filth and the Polish death metal war machine Vader – who will be performing a special set comprised of songs from their seminal records De Profundis and Litany. Also confirmed are 1914, Author & Punisher, Beyond Creation, Draconis Infernum, Frontierer, Havok, Kvelertak, Mass Infection, Me And That Man – featuring Behemoth’s own Nergal -, Necrophobic, Ottone Pesante, Pensées Nocturnes, Rings of Saturn, Sigh, Static-X – performing with a revived lineup after vocalist Wayne Static passed away back in 2014 -, Toxic Holocaust and While She Sleeps. These new names join previously announced Asphyx, Atari Teenage Riot, Dark Funeral, Myrkur, Razor and Venom, among others. More names will be unveiled soon, so keep your eyes peeled for further announcements.
Brutal Assault 25 takes place at Fortress Josefov, in Jaroměř, on August 5th-8th, 2020. Four-day tickets are available for 2450 Kč (approximately 95 euros) and can be purchased online via the festival’s eshop, here.
