Candy announce new record, It’s Inside You, out on June 7th via Relapse Records

Candy, the hardcore noise, bi-coastal outfit, have just announced their upcoming third record, It’s Inside You, a brazen take on hardcore, metal, and disparate electronics and experimental soundscapes that, once again, takes another step forward with a compelling, extreme, and one-of-a-kind take on the genre. Expands upon their lauded brand of metal-warping, digitally-coated hardcore, It’s Inside You was produced by Candy’s own Michael Quick alongside Uniform’s Ben Greenberg, and was mixed by Kurt Ballou at God City Studios. With the record’s announcement comes lead single “eXistenZ”, which bursts open the exciting new era for the boundary-shattering band. You can listen to the single below this article.

It’s Inside You is a kind of manifesto of kinship and inner strength. The record serpentines its way through the dark and bright corners of the human psyche. While nihilism and pains of the modern world still exist on the record, It’s Inside You sees the band turn toward tenderness more than ever before, as well, creating an energizing and empowering atmosphere, in which seeking connections with oneself and with others is central. While constructing this record, Candy opened up and invited several collaborators, including Aaron Melnick (Integrity), Justice Tripp (Angel Du$t, Trapped Under Ice), David Gagliardi (Trash Talk), MIRSY (Fleshwater’s Marisa Shriar) and mmph (Sae Heum Han), who all helped enrich and further define the band’s already distinctive energy.
