There is an exhilarating new collaboration on the horizon and it joins together the awesome forces between North American grinding noise act Full of Hell and Toronto-based industrial artist Andrew Nolan, something that promises a sonic exploration unlike any of their prior endeavors. Crafted throughout recording sessions spanning from 2019 to 2023, Scraping The Divine captures the raw energy and relentless spirit of both Full of Hell and Andrew Nolan, featuring an impressive lineup of guest appearances, including Taichi Nagura (Endon), GxCx (Contagious Orgasm, BBVGC, ex-Guilty Connector), Justin K Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu, JK Flesh), Intensive Care, and Alex Hughes (Hatred Surge, Holy Money), further enriching its intricate soundscape. Recorded by renowned producers Seth Manchester of Machines with Magnets and Kevin Bernsten of Developing Nations, mixed and produced by Andrew Nolan, and with finishing touch courtesy of mastering engineer Nick Townsend, the record also features striking artwork illustrated by Savage Pencil, celebrated for his iconic designs for legendary acts like Swans, Sonic Youth, Big Black, and Sunn O))). The record’s first single, “Burdened by Solar Mass”, serves as a haunting introduction to this collaboration. Dylan Walker of Full of Hell describes the track as, “…the first meeting point between Full of Hell and Andrew Nolan. The end product is an amalgam of mangled guitars and dub pulses and an ominous warning about our own insignificance in the universe.” – you can listen to “Burdened by Solar Mass below this article.
Scraping The Divine will be released on November 15th via Closed Casket Activities. Pre-orders are now available here.
