We are not even through with the first quarter of 2019 and Hardmetalfest Mangualde has already revealed the entirety of its 2020 lineup, as is usual. Described as the oldest metal festival in the Iberian Peninsula, Hardmetalfest Mangualde advances to its 26th edition after the resounding success that was its 25th Anniversary this year – which included performances by Chris Holmes’ Mean Man, Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper, Gama Bomb and Agressor, among others -, and as ever, its lineup is pure metalhead gold.
This edition will mark the Portuguese debut of some of the most iconic bands from the 80s and 90s like the UK thrashers Xentrix, who will be the headliners, and their fellow NWOBHM countrymen Praying Mantis and Blitzkrieg, as well as the return of many other classic metal bands to Portuguese shores, as is the case of the German death metal legends Blood and the emblematic Norwegian black metallers Ancient. The UK epic doomsters Iron Void, the Spanish gothics Dark Embrace and the Portuguese contingent consisting of Sacred Sin, Infraktor, Karbonsoul and Godark complete what is yet another stellar lineup for Hardmetalfest Mangualde. Now all we have to do is patiently wait an entire year until we get to see all these amazing bands live.
Hardmetalfest Mangualde 2020 takes place at C.C. Santo André, in Mangualde, Portugal, on January 11th. 50 tickets will be available for the promotional price of 15 euros and can be purchased online via Ticketline. After those are gone, regular tickets will be available for a price to be revealed soon.
