The time to return to Hellfest is almost upon us and the festival has just unveiled a slew of both cancellations and confirmations. Starting with the former, the following groups had to officially call off their appearances for diverse reasons – they are Avenged Sevenfold, The Wildhearts, Powerflo, Obituary, 3Teeth, Belzebubs, Numenorean, Of Mice & Men, Justin(e), Legion of the Damned, Hatebreed and Crowbar. The good news is that a replacement has been found for each of these bands, except the previously cancelled Faith No More – their replacement will be announced by Hellfest sometime in April. The newly confirmed bands are Gojira, Steve Vai, Comeback Kid, Jerry Cantrell, Obscura, Sólstafir, Skillet, Mammoth WVH, Ferocious Dog, The Last Internationale, Dead Heat, Fauxx, Titan, Stengah, Sick Of It All, GBH, August Burns Red, Les Sheriff, Incendiary, Mordred, Monkey3, The Vintage Caravan, Necrophobic, Memoriam, Hour of Penance, Fractal Universe, 1349, The Ruins of Beverast, Cân Bardd, Portrayal of Guilt, Lili Refrain, Shade and Dust and Mortis Mutilati. We know, it’s quite the mouthful but we’re sure you’re all with a huge grin on your face. So, now the question – see you in Hell?
Hellfest 2022 will take place in Clisson, France, during two weekends – June 17th-19th and June 23rd-26th. Tickets for the festival are officially sold out. For more information on the festival and the overall lineup, please visit the festival’s website here.
