Known for their genre-blurring mix of hardcore-inspired alternative rock, the Californian Militarie Gun have been rising in the ranks of the hardcore scene, and for a good reason. Their debut record, Life Under the Gun, garnered the attention of both fans and the media, often described as a bigger, cleaner and catchier offering than the EPs released prior. With their sophomore record, God Save the Gun, Militarie Gun reached new heights, unleashing a sound that promises to be both incredibly heavy and deeply cathartic. With the impeding release of the record, the quintet have unveiled the dates for an European tour, set to take place between January and February, and a return to Portugal is set to happen right at the beginning of the trek – Militarie Gun will perform at Casa da Música, in Porto, and LAV, in Lisbon, on January 21st and 22nd, respectively. Tickets for both shows are available for 20 euros, can be purchased online via Fever. Opening both these dates and a few others (January 21st – February 9th) will be the Canadian post-hardcore outfit Spite House, while the North American garage punk band White Reaper will be in charge of the opening on the final dates of the tour (February 11th – 17th).
