Molchat Doma announced as headliners for SonicBlast 2025

Here is a little big surprise no one saw coming – Molchat Doma are headlining SonicBlast! That’s right, the Belarusian trio that stand at the intersection of post-punk, new wave and synth pop will be bringing their dark, yet danceable sonorities to the best psychedelic music festival in Europe. Catchy and with a heavy dose of goth ethos, the music crafted by vocalist Egor Shkutko, guitarist and keyboardist Roman Komogortsev, and bassist and keyboardist Pavel Kozlov is reminiscent of the masters that predate them. Pulling from influences such as Joy Division or The Cure, Molchat Doma have created a fresh sound that is immediately recognizable as all their own. After two brilliant solo performances in Portugal at the tail end of 2024 – where they presented their latest record, Belaya Polosa -, Molchat Doma now return to the country as the headliners of this year’s edition of SonicBlast, joining an impressive lineup already comprised of names such as Circle Jerks, Fu Manchu, Amenra, Emma Ruth Rundle, King Woman and Earthless, among many others, and we couldn’t be more excited. This one will be absolutely unmissable! More names will be announced soon, so keep your eyes peeled for further announcements.

SonicBlast 2025 takes place at the Praia da Duna do Caldeirão, in Âncora, from August 7th-9th, with a warm-up party on August 6th (for ticket holders only). Three-day tickets are available for 100 euros and can be purchased online via Bilheteira Online.
