Ever since their founding back in 2006, Elder have been expanding and refining their sound, establishing themselves as one of the most inventive bands in the stoner and progressive musical spectrum of the last decade. With long and immersive compositions that span styles from 70s kraut and space rock to more modern-sounding, metallic compositions, Elder have been growing their fanbase thanks to brilliant releases such as Dead Roots Stirring, Lore and Reflections of a Floating World. And since 2017, the quartet of vocalist and guitarist Nick DiSalvo, bassist Jack Donovan, guitarist and keyboardist Mike Wisberg, and drummer Georg Edert have had an intimate relationship with Portugal, a country that has always embraced very dearly. Next month is no exception – fresh off the release of their brand-new EP, Liminality/Dream State Return, Elder will return to Lisbon (RCA Club) and Porto (Mouco), on October 28th and 29th, respectively. Opening for the band in Lisbon will be the stoner rock outfit Travo, whereas in Porto, the honour will belong to the heavy psych group Madmess. Tickets for both shows are still available for 25 euros, and can be purchased online via See Tickets. See you there!
