Second chances in music, as well as in life, are pretty rare. In a gated ecosystem that is set up to prevent even first chances, getting a do-over hardly ever happens, and perhaps, no one appreciates that more than the members of Royal Thunder. After losing a key member and eventually collapsing under the weight of excess, the beloved Georgia trio have reunited and returned with their first record in six years, Rebuilding the Mountain, which, like all of Royal Thunder’s best material, is atmospheric, soulful and instantly memorable, ultimately standing as what the band should have been all along. With renewed vigor and appetite for releasing new music, also comes a desire to play live, and Royal Thunder have just announced a string of shows in the Iberian Peninsula that are just right for the occasion. In Portugal, Royal Thunder will be playing what will be their very first show in the country, specifically at the Hard Club, in Porto, on June 26th – tickets are 15 euros and can be purchased online via SeeTickets.
