SWR Barroselas Metalfest 23: Mgła, Morbid Saint and Gutalax among the newest lineup additions

After the initial announcement of Autopsy back in August, SWR now gives us the first proper round of band confirmations for its 23rd edition that not only includes the Californian death metal legends, but also fourteen other names. The ones that immediately jump to our eyes are the Polish black metallers Mgła – who just visited Portugal last month -, the North American thrash metal icons Morbid Saint and the Czech goregrind masters Gutalax, but there are more names that will surely whet everyones appetite – Gorod, Horna, Birdflesh, Putrid Pile, Vulture, Deranged, Grave Desecrator, Midnight Priest, Equaleft, Gaerea and Extirpation. There are still 35 names left to be announced – 15 for the main stages and 20 for the infamous SWR Arena, the festival’s free entry stage -, so keep your eyes peeled for further announcements.

SWR Barroselas Metalfest 23 takes place at the A.D.B. Sport Facilities, in Barroselas, from April 29th to May 2nd. A special X-Mas pack is available for 70 euros and can be purchased online via the festival’s webshop, here. This special X-Mas pack is limited to 400 units and contains a three-day pass, special tshirt, cup, three tokens for drinks during the festival and a bag. After they are sold out, regular three-day tickets will be put on sale.
