Despite the cold that one feels deep within their bones, the heat will be turned up to eleven, as Itenerance makes its awaited return to the historic Rua da Madeira, in Porto. Set in three different venues along the street – Barracuda, Ferro Bar and Era Uma Vez No Porto, plus an additional one outside of it, Cobalto, Itenerance features a myriad of Portuguese acts and a Spanish act that together span quite a few different genres of music, as well as meet & greets, talks and DJ sets, all throughout two days plus a warmup. On the aforementioned warmup, on January 16th, Itenerance will welcome attendees with a meet & greet, a talk and a community dinner with drinks, to set the mood for what will transpire afterwards at Barracuda, which will feature performances by the heavy psych rockers El Saguaro, the stoner metal outfit Brainless Duck and psychedelic punks Ideal Victim.
On the first day of the festival, Barracuda will be receiving the feedback-laden, psychedelic and sci-fi riffage of Hazing Lungs, the post-doom metal outfit Palegazer and the explosive post-hardcore of Pledge. Over at Ferro Bar, the hardcore sludge metallers Acid Misery and the post-metal sludge power trio Redemptus. On the same day, Era Uma Vez No Porto will feature the experimental duo Lavra, as well as a back-to-back DJ set featuring Johnny Gil and Bernardo Matos. On the second day of the festival, Barracuda will be the stage for the instrumental psych rock trio of Mau Jesus, the progressive post-doom metal of ORUM, and the Spanish hardcore sludge duo of Al Final Solo Habrá Cenizas. On the very same day, Ferro Bar will receive progressive metal quartet Phase Transition and the post-metal quartet Awaiting The Vultures. Finally, Era Uma Vez No Porto will feature the experimental post-genre electronic music project Superalma, as well as a back-to-back DJ set featuring Ascenscia and Rivers. More information on the running order is available here. With a lineup this stacked, you urge you not to miss this one – it is going to be a blast!
