Next week: Downfall of Gaia cast a veil of blackened sludge upon Portugal

One of the most long-awaited returns to Portugal is about to take place next week, in all its utmost darkened glory. With their latest opus of blackened sludge, Silhouettes of Disgust, still very much present in our ears and minds, the German quartet known as Downfall of Gaia is set to return to Portugal for two shows, more than seven years after their last visit to the country, and eleven years since their fantastic debut back at Amplifest 2013. As it stands, the band will be performing at Maus Hábitos, in Porto, and Musicbox, in Lisbon, on May 2nd and 3rd, respectively – tickets for both nights are still avaiable for 15 euros via SeeTickets (Porto) and DICE (Lisbon). Opening both nights as very special guests will be the Spanish instrumental post rock outfit Syberia. Two utterly destructive and yet, absolutely cathartic shows that cannot be missed by a single soul. See you there.
