Fortress Festival announces first names for its 2024 edition
After a higly-successful, sold-out first edition, Reaper Agency announces the return of Fortress Festival to the grounds of Scarborough, in North Yorkshire. Taking place across two stages, the festival promises another devastating lineup comprising some of the world’s finest and most highly regarded black metal acts will unleash their carnage. And that promised wiill be fulfilled, as the first wave of names has been unveiled, includind a host of UK exclusive shows, that range from Blackbraid‘s debut in the country to Panopticon, who will be playing a special 10th Anniversary set of Roads to the North. Also confirmed are the Polish experimental black metallers Furia, the Spanish progressive post-rock outfit Obsidian Kingdom – playing Mantiis – An Agony in Fourteen Bites in full -, Fellwarden in its worldwide live debut, Lamp of Murmuur and Falls of Rauros. Last but by no means least, the festival has also confirmed the presence of the Danish atmospheric black metal band Sunken and UK’s own black/death/doom metal outfit Abyssal. More names will be revealed soon, so keep your eyes peeled for further announcements.
