We are two days away from Christmas and Comendatio Music Fest decided to give us the ultimate prog present by confirming three more names for its 2020 edition. Among them are the UK progressive metal maestros Haken, who are regarded as one of progressive music’s most exciting bands by fans and press alike. They will be presenting their latest record, Vector, which was released on October 26th, 2018 via InsideOut Music and was produced by the band themselves and recorded and mixed by Adam “Nolly” Getgood – former bassist of Periphery and mixer/engineer for bands like Cynic, Devin Townsend Project and Intronaut -, with artwork done by Blacklake. Also confirmed are Catacbombe, an instrumental post-rock band from Vale de Cambra, who released one of the most interesting and diverse records of the year, Scintilla, as well as Needle, a progressive rock band from Guimarães that performed in Comendatio as part of the Battle of the Bands and ended up being the ultimate surprise of the whole festival. A few more names are still left to be confirmed, so keep your eyes peeled for further announcements.
Comendatio Music Fest 2020 takes place in Paço da Comenda, in Tomar, on June 6th-7th. Two-day tickets are available for 50 euros and can be purchased online via the festival’s website.
