Dead Can Dance, the Australian neoclassical dark wave duo composed by Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry, have announced the completion of their first album in six years. Entitled Dionysus, this new record will be divided into two acts, each representing the myth of Dionysus and its cult. It will make use of field recordings and chanting, including a goatherd in Switzerland, beehive’s from New Zealand and bird calls from Mexico and Brazil. Dionysus is set for release on November 2nd via PIAS Recordings.
