We are getting closer and closer to the start of Obscura‘s upcoming European tour, and you know what that means – their return to Portugal is also imminent. Masters over the most progressive and technical side of death metal, the Steffen Kummerer-led quartet have been challenging the boundaries of the genre with tremendous records such as Cosmogenesis, Omnivium and A Valediction. Their upcoming record, A Sonication, promises to elevate and expand the band’s sound even further, with its advanced, elegant, and yet refreshing take on technical death metal. This is also the record that Obscura will be presenting on February 10th, when they step onto the stage of LAV, in Lisbon, so the expectations are at an all-time high. Opening this singular night of sonically devastating proportions will be the North American death metal group Skeletal Remains (as the substitutes for previously announced Rings of Saturn), and the French technical death metal quintet Gorod. Better have your bodies ready to be torn apart!
Tickets for the show are available for 27 euros and can still be purchased online via Ticketline.
