As if we did not already have enough reasons to once again return to SonicBlast, here comes the festival with its final round of announcements to knock us off our feets and put us in a green hazy state. And it truly is a green hazy state, as the mighty giants of weed-induced sludgecore Bongzilla are finally making their debut in Portugal for not one, but two performances. You won’t be able to see them anywhere else in Europe this year, so you better move your ass to SonicBlast if you want to catch the marijuanauts live. Also confirmed are the Australian punks Clamm, the Portuguese heavy psych rockers Jesus the Snake, the Portuguese thrash metal purveyors Capela Mortuária, the Spanish cosmic fuzz explorers Free Ride, the Italian doom metallers Wizard Master, and the Portuguese transgressive rockers Spin The Skull. Thus, the lineup of this year’s edition of SonicBlast is complete, with a very big (and green) thumbs up from our side. See you there!
SonicBlast 2026 takes place at the Praia da Duna do Caldeirão, in Âncora, from August 6th-8th, with a warm-up party on August 5th (for ticket holders only). Three-day tickets are available for 100 euros and can be purchased online via Bilheteira Online.
