2025 started incredibly strong, and one of the craziest and liveliest shows we had the pleasure to catch so far was Touché Amoré. It had been quite a while since the Californian post-hardcore standard-bearers set foot on a Portuguese stage, and so, their return was a highly-anticipated event. With an almost packed venue, Touché Amoré presented their incredible new record, Spiral In A Straight Line, through songs such as “Nobody’s”, “Hal Ashby” and “Force of Habit”, without forgetting their equally brilliant back catalogue. Mainstays such as “Art Official”, “And Now It’s Happening in Mine”, “Savoring”, “Pathfinders” and “Flowers And You” made the audience erupt in a mixture of moshing and crowdsurfing, the latter being the supposed finish of the show. We say supposed because the band then returned to the stage, and between showing appreciation for everyone present, including the two bands that were accompanying them that night – Trauma Ray and Boneflower -, Touché Amoré played the beautiful “Limelight” to the delight of the audience. An all-around great night full of emotion and bruises – may it be repeated countless times.
