There may be a lot of festivals that claim to be the first of the year, but few of them are as important as Itenerance. With the intense cold running deep in everyone’s bones, the festival is sort of a bonfire, a respite that offers heat for a while in the form of beautiful live performances by some of the most interesting acts one can find in today’s underground music scene. From the warm-up that included the heavy psych rock of El Saguaro or the psychedelic punk of Ideal Victim, to the remaining acts that played during the two main days of Itenerance, such as the post-doom metal outfit Palegazer, post-metal sludge power trio Redemptus, the explosive post-hardcore of Pledge, the Spanish hardcore sludge duo of Al Final Solo Habrá Cenizas, the progressive metal quartet Phase Transition or the experimental post-genre electronic music project Superalma, there was something for everyone. Packed venues, amazing shows and an incredible atmosphere throughout marked the second edition of Itenerance – may there be more in the near future, we will surely be there once again!
