Christmas time begets Christmas gifts, and what better offering is there than the first announcement of our favourite festival? That’s right, the wonderful folks behind the iconic SonicBlast have just unveiled the first names that will be a part of next year’s lineup, and couldn’t be more excited. By far the festival’s biggest and most diverse announcement yet, SonicBlast will have the pleasure of having its stages blessed by the indomitable Norwegian punk rock sailors Turbonegro, the returning masters of stoner metal High On Fire, and the insanity-driven noise rock outfit Chat Pile (on the photo above). Further down the announcement we have the seminal post-black metal outfit Deafheaven, the reformed psychedelic sludge giants Kylesa and the punk rock legends The Casualties, as well as the fast-paced speed metal outfit Midnight and the psychedelic garage rock quintet Frankie and the Witch Fingers. Last, but by no means least, the announcement is completed by Snapped Ankles, Elder, Levitation Room, Dead Meadow, Conan, N8NOFACE, ADULT., Necrot, Margarita Witch Cult, Early Moods, Primitive Ring, Goya, Hög and Conan.More names will be unveiled soon, so keep your eyes peeled for further announcements.
SonicBlast 2026 takes place at the Praia da Duna do Caldeirão, in Âncora, from August 6th-8th, with a warm-up party on August 5th (for ticket holders only). Three-day tickets are available for 100 euros and can be purchased online via Bilheteira Online.
