A new year always brings new band announcements and Vagos Metal Fest took advantage of the Holiday season for a nifty unveiling of names that join previously announced Midnight, Be’lakor, Corpus Christii and Glasya. At the head of this new announcement, which consists on a total of five new bands that join the festival’s lineup, we have the legendary Brazilian thrashers Sepultura as the first headliners. After being present in Portugal to present their latest record SepulQuarta, the quartet marks their return for a very special performance that will include all of their classics. Also joining the lineup will be New York’ own golden mask-clad, avant-garde metal trio Imperial Triumphant, who are returning to Portugal to present their latest record, Spirit of Ecstasy, as well as the Arizonian hardcore death metallers Gatecreeper in their very first performance in Portugal. Last but by no means least, the legendary Portuguese death/thrash metal group Sacred Sin and progressive gothic metal newcomers Seventh Storm complete this splendid announcement. More names will be revealed soon, so keep your eyes peeled for further announcements.
Vagos Metal Fest 2023 takes place at Quinta do Ega, in Vagos, on August 3rd-5th. Three-day tickets are now available for 95 euros. They can be purchased online via Bilheteira Online.
