Crafted int the deepest parts of the Nordic forests, Wardruna‘s music is imbued with an energy and mystique that mirrors that of nature itself – inhabiting the same plane as the howling winds, the deep roots of ancient trees and the eternal cycle of life. The Norwegian collective, founded and led by Einar Selvik, uses a range of traditional Nordic instruments to follow a path that is unique in contemporary music, evidenced in a discography that includes titles such as the marvelous Runaljod trilogy, as well as acclaimed live performances all throughout the world. With a brand-new and exciting record fresh out of the oven, Birna, Wardruna are set to embark on an European tour later this year in promotion of said opus, and for the very first time, the collective shall make their debut in Portugal – Wardruna will be performing at Casa da Música, in Porto, on December 2nd.
